I do a lot of triathlons and want a shoe for super sprints. I recently bought the Brooks Ghost 4 running shoes because I am a pronator but I am getting some pretty bad calf pain when I run off the bike. Should I switch my shoes or will my calves get used to the pain??

Goals:
Sub 12 IronMan
Sub 6 100miler

Did you get a proper fitting for the trainers or did you just buy them?

Oooh, another Pimlico person?

Calf pain could be a result of uppping your training significantly; I'm doing marathon training for the third time, and each time I've had significant calf pain as I've increased the mileage. Stretching morning and evening, and self-massage seem to be key.

+1 for get a proper fitting.

The first one I had was 7-8 years ago. I was in the store (somewhere in Brighton IIR) for about 90 mins but learned a lot and ended up with exactly what I needed. Took that advice into every other fitting and haven't had any issues whatsoever.

OP sounds like you (should at least) know more than me, but my calf pain has been down to upping training too-physio, stretching and roller needed.
