Does anyone know if this company is still operating - they have been recommended here many times but I put in an order a few weeks ago and nothing has been delivered and they don't answer their phone or emails - I need to get my wheel back working and may have to order from another seller, there website   www.bristolspokeco.com is live   Thanks!

Not got any concrete info, but I think that the spoke company was connected to RyanBuildsWheels - not sure about the overlap in staff but they used to share a premises IIRC. RyanBuildsWheels relocated to Wales about a year ago. Maybe drop Ryan a message?

If the spoke company is Ryan's business too then he has been known to take chunks of time off for health reasons.

https://www.bristolspokeco.com/about/

"After 6 years working with Ryan building up SpokesfromRyan we have decided to part ways.

Ryan has now moved to the beautiful Welsh valleys, I will be staying in Bristol cutting spokes to the same high standard.

New name, same quality spokes and service!

Ryan and I remain close friends and collaborators.

Pete."

so no longer part of Ryans interests.

no idea if they're still going, facebook page hasn't been updated for quite a while. companies house still says active.

Still going.  Independent of Ryan now.  Fast delivery and good range of spokes.

Also in a similar position. No response to communication attempts. If I’ve not heard by this evening I’m starting a chargeback.

If it helps, I needed my spokes pretty urgently by this point, so I emailed Ryan at ryanbuildswheels, and he sold me spokes, cut them, and got them in the post same day, astonishing service to help me out.

I used to use them when they were SpokesFromRyan, but the guy who took it forward (not Ryan) was a bit pissy when I asked a question the last time I used them. I've used Just Riding Along ever since with no issues, plus they're usually cheaper.

Cycle basket are decent for spokes if you’re  happy with ACI double butted spokes. Pretty much get the order out same day most of the time and on a next day delivery service. I’ve had no problems with them snapping etc - unlike the pillar ones on some hunt wheels I had and maybe one DT Swiss competition that snapped (although that was a stick so nothing would have survived that).

To put a conclusion on this - I asked Ryan at ryanbuildswheel and had an initial positive response but then he dropped of the radar in the end i went to Wheel-parts.shop in Europe - the post was 13 euros but the spokes were half uk cost so about the same - they delivered in 4 days

Wheel.parts are really good, been using them for all my spokes for a few years now. They also had some great prices on DT hubs not long ago.
