I'm planning a 4 day epic end to end route in the Brecon Beacons (East to West). I know the eastern area well but I'm less familiar with the Black Mountain (ie west).
There are lots of north south aligned bridleways which look great on the map but seem less certain on google earth.
Anyone with local knowledg out there who can help with the route planning?

do you not need east to west ? you can get from forest lodge along sarn helen (roman road) over the afon nedd then cheeky trail over cnewr estate to penwyllt and down to dan yr ogof to then pick up b/way over black mountain

Cheers, I already had sarn Helen pencilled in, do you mean the disused railway to penwyllt?
I like the bridleway going over from Dan yr ogof, but I don't mind doubling back the route if any going north south are worth riding.
