Need to replace my brake pads ,,,.last pair I had were superstar and didn't last that long (possibly bought the wrong compound though )
Who uses what make and what's out there that needs to be avoided
Thanks

I am quite impressed by the "lifeline" sintered pads I got from wiggle the other week for £3 an end, only place I was able to get sintered BB5 Pads...

It's a long time since I've had disco ones but they weren't very good back then, the pad material was always breaking up (not falling off, just losing little chunks) and they wore fast for sintered. Uberbike sintered seem good (the racematrix were dangerously bad, in the formula fitment at leas).

Rahox get great recommendations on here, keep meaning to try those.

I use superstar kevlar, they're great ime, I've never found them to wear significantly worse than sintered but they work better while they last. I gather there's some conditions that eats them, dark peak? But I've not found anywhere. OTOH they're really sensitive to breaking in- most pads feel bad and don't work well til you break them in, these feel sorted almost immediately but they're not ready to use til you go through much the same breaking in you'd do with sintered. Otherwise, they wear very fast.
