Memory failing me here, as is Google, but wasn’t there some UK based car brake manufacturer who’d started doing pads for bike discs?

Assuming it’s not my mind playing tricks, can anyone remember who it was, if they’re any good, and if they’re still doing?

Yup Fibrax, and they make good pads. Also (at least used to) make also v-brake pads that were as good as Kool-Stops.

CL Brakes UK...

They're actually French, but there is a UK operation too and he brings in a lot of popular MTB/Road disc brake pads.

Easily the best brake pads I've used, I was genuinely quite shocked how much better than anything else they are!
