I've got a rear Funn brake that needs bleeding - it takes Dot 4 but I have some Dot 5.1 in the garage -can they be mixed?

Yes. It's 5 that cannot, that's the silicone based one. Luckily I was killing time at the garage earlier today waiting for the diesel donkey to be fixed (yet again - sigh) and was reading about just this subject...

Yes. But it's always best to flush it right through anyway, it only takes a small amount.
