I'm doing up an old Dawes Sportive Comp 2009/10 as a winter bike. It has the original brake caliper and wheel on the back, but the brake block hits the tyre on one side. I've found some original photos of the bike when it was reviewed and the blocks on the rear brake were right at the bottom of their 57mm travel. (Tektro caliper). Can anyone recommend a solution other than a longer reach caliper? It shouldn't be necessary as its a completely original bike.
