Brake bleed kits - metal or plastic connectors

Is there much of a difference between metal or plastic connectors for brake bleeds. TBS & Epic supply metal but i’ve had mixed results on the syringes with a couple almost being single use before the rubber plungers stick inside the syringe housing.

Plenty of chinese alternatives with better looking syringes but a lot have plastic connectors. Wondered if thats a bad idea.

Not sure if its a bad bleed or stubborn air bubble but i seem to need to bleed after replacing worn pads to get the feel back. And one thing the eBike does is chomp through rear pads!

I've had plastic ones before, they're alright but they tend to soften over time, I guess just with the exposure to brake fluid? You need to be very careful with them, if it's a screw-in type brake. I'd always prefer brass. Bear in mind that you can reuse the brass on a new kit so buying a plastic set then swapping over might be good?

Pro tip btw- once you're done, draw the syringe back and fill it with air- the main reason mine fail is that the rubber sticks, but if you do it this way then the first movement is "forwards" and the bung doesn't pull off the handle as easily. (though the more permanent fix, was a box of ebay syringes)
