Grandson needs to move up , his Orbea MX 20 is too small now but I think the 24" is a bit too pricey? Seen a couple Vitus at Wiggle one at £260 and a disc brake version at £315 but I doubt he needs discs . Anything else I haven't thought of ?

These threads come up every couple of months and each time it is very hard to look past Vitus for the money. Which one, depends on how it is likely to be used. If it's for 'playing out' and flatish cycle paths etc. then the V brake bike will be spot on. If he's likely to be getting into mountain biking a bit then 24+ with discs will be a lot more fun. My youngest has the 20 inch and doesn't have great grip strength so the discs make a huge difference to his confidence. The plus tyres are a great lightweight alternative to a coil fork.

Our 7 and 9 year olds both have the Vitus Nucleus 24 (the one with front air forks). Great bike for the money. We bought the second one a year ahead of time when it went on sale.

Friends son has the Nucleus+ (fat tyres and no fork) and loves that too.

I always bought secondhand but also went for a Vitus Nucleus 24 when they were on offer for my eldest. It’s a really nice bike for the money.

If you are anywhere near Hampshire I have two 24imch bikes in the shed.

Vitus Nucleus and Voodoo Bakka

I need them out of the way but gave up on Facebook time wasters and not really sure what platform to try next.

Could do either for a very keen price for a fellow forumite. Both tidy.

Just PM me if that's any use.

Price is becoming less important than finding them a good home.

You could always sign up to the hope academy @ 20/m?
