My forks are a couple of years old about 2-3 years, its not often i ride this bike but thinking of getting it back out agin..lol
they are "rockshox recon race" forks..... they bottom out sometimes if i have rolled off a drop off instead of doing it correctly = lol agin)... is this something to do with the damping ..what shud i be doing....im not sure on 'damping' techniques.... please help a woman in distress.... its annoying when it bottoms out.... they are only 80mm travel... its only a 13 inch bike ....
been spoilt i think by the springyiness on my other bike = fox forks on my full sus, so yeah it feels alot different..

Can I say two things?

1. Put the fork down.

2. Step away from the fridge.

Hi Elaine, have a look at the setup guide: http://locotuning.co.uk/tech-info.html

Maybe too soft a air pressure/coil spring, or maybe a little more compression damping needed.

Air or coils spring?

Its the spring thats wrong really - you can add more compression damping but it will spoil the ride

I am joking of course, it does sound to be a spring/air pressure thing rather than a dietary issue... ๐Ÿ˜†

Still got full travel, i.e. not bottoming out with lots of stanchions showing. My REBAs are currently in this state, getting 40mm oout forks that should have 100mm travel. Need to service them and put the damping oil back where it belongs (again).

If not sound like it needs more air in the spring.
