I've got a bit of a problem with a Truvativ Noir crankset in a Hope BB with the adapter.
Two of the big plastic BB cup spacers had split and opened up, leaving the cups a bit loose.
There are no spacers on the BB axle. The axle has got a shoulder that clamps up against the LH bearing (or adapter in my case). The RH side floats in it's bearing.
The axle had migrated over to the left, taking the LH bearing with it until it was only partly inside the cup.
I've run it for a long time with no axle spacers with no problem, so I've put some new plastic cup spacers in and hopefully that will cure it.
I'd like to do a more permanent job though, so where do I get the 24mm ID plastic spacers for the BB axle ?
Clamping the BB cups down on to plastic spacers never seemed like a good idea to me anyway. Where do I get aluminium spacers from ?
I might have some BB axel spacers and I have a couple of aluminium BB cup spacers in my toolbox that you can have.
I've had a look at the Truvativ technical documents on line and can find no mention of the 24mm spacer for the BB axle, which is strange, as I'm sure mine originally came with a mixture of white & black spacers when new.
I've emailed Baz too, although I have now found aluminium BB spacers at CRC and SJS amongst others.
