Currently running deore crankset and Deore BB, like this
Am considering changing to SRAM drivetrain, the GX 1*11 to be precise
The default options for the groupset are as follows
Build_Kit:GX Trigger Shifter 11 Speed
BB:BB30 (not cups included)
Cranks:GX 1000 BB30 170mm
Chainrings:30t
The frame this is going on has a threaded BB shell, but BB30 is different as I understand it. I'm guessing (hoping) that the axle of the GX crankset will be compatible with the deore BB that's in there at the moment, so I can ignore the SRAM BB? Or is it just a case that the crankset will not fit this frame / bb combination?
BB30/ PF30 = an axle width of 30mm
Shimano = 24mm
cheers.

By axle width, you mean axle diameter?
bugger. That stuffs things up.
Can you get BB30 cups for threaded BB shells?
It would appear that this is what I need? Is that correct?

I'm pretty sure it isn't. [EDIT] now I'm not so sure!
Hope do a threaded 30mm BB

hmmm. another option is just to use a narrow/wide ring on the existing cranks. why does this have to be so hard?!
Don't think the SRAM GXP will work with the 30mm axle. You may be better off with your cheaper option assuming its not busted
Uberbike have a code for this weekend for 25% so you could get a NW ring from them
