As per the title really - took the allen key to the bolt, gave it a tweak to get the thing moving as it had locked in place. seems to have snapped the fixing away from the tube though as the bolt just spins and spins now. It's really annoying as it buggers up the lighting arrangements, I could do with using a bottle battery on that bike, so if I can fix it that would be wonderful.
Frame is a Santa Cruz Chameleon circa 2002, and the "bolt" is plastic, if either fact makes a difference
over to you guys
if you can get the bolt out, you can tighten it like this

Try Park Tools
Ta Brant, getting it out is the first issue I face. Tried the "apply pressure while undoing as per the Park TOols links from Hingy but no joy. Will see if the needle nose pliers work tonight, maybe, unless anyone else can come up with an idea? If they don't work then threadlock's the next thing to try.
If the boss is what is spinning its a bugger as you need to grip that. One trick that I have used is to drill 2 very small holes into the bit of alloy that can be seeen. This may be only a couple of mm wide. This may be just enough to grip with needle nose pliers, circlip pliers of something thin and pointy. Now try to undo the bolt.
If the bolt actually is plastic (strange) then just drill it out
That use to happen on my old Kona. Dribble some super glue round the edge, leave for a while. Cured!
as above - Araldite did the job on mine.
thanks for the suggestions chaps ๐
