[Closed] Boost forks with a standard 100mm hub? Can this work well?

I want to change my forks and a pair have come available at a good price but they are Boost (110mm). A quick search has pulled up a couple of eBay kits, but I want to know whether it's a bad idea or not. I'm happy with my wheelset and don't want to change it. Thanks.

Can you get a Boost conversion for the hubs?

Like this, although it's only one sided so will need the wheel re-spoke-ing.

The wheels are Mavic Crossmax SLRs 29"

Don't you have to redish wheels for boost?

Won't the brake disk be in the wrong place?

I thought the same.

You can do the conversion in two ways:
- add a 10 mm spacer on the non-disc side, re-dish the wheel (this is what the Lindarets Boostinator does) - not sure if the Mavic spokes will allow you to do this
- add 5 mm spacers on each side and a 5mm spacer under the brake disc, no redishing required

Nah, they can be any colour.

I got a kit from eBay and it works great. As above, two 5mm spacers for the hub and one for the disc with slightly longer bolts.
