Any tips? I've found some pipe for 1 1/8" but what do people use for 1 1/2"??

I'm too cack handed to use some wood and a hammer, I'd never get it straight

Thanks

You can split them can't you? Makes for easier fitting?

Cool, I thought that might be the case.

Is it just a case of cutting a small section out?

I've never done it, just saw it mentioned on here....

The other thing you could do is heat it up, then the expansion would allow it to slip on, I think I'd prefer to do that to cutting it.

So, for an idiot, do I just do one cut, or cut a small section out of the race?

Thanks

I decided not to cut the race, instead, I got some 40mm waste pipe from B&Q, cut 4 slots in and used this.

As suggested here:

Did the job perfectly

Thanks STW
