I have been trying to fit a bottom bracket in a boardman mountain bike but am stuck. I have fitted a deore bottom bracket but there is still movement in the chainset. whats the problem someone please.

What type of BB? what BB shell width on the frame?

Deore external and I would imagine its 68mm not sure of shell width but I have tried all spacer combos.

If it's a Truvativ chainset the it won't work

Yes its a Truvativ BB shell 68 axle 113 mm and it is a Deore M530 The movement is the same as the BB being shaged. Why does it not work. Think I will just tell him to get a Deore chainset..

You need a specific bb for the Truvativ - I wouldn't swap the Stylo for a Deore I'd get the right bb.
