BMC Fourstroke Two: any opinions?

My current MTB is a Nukeproof Scout 27.5 which I've had for about 5yrs and replaced a Voodoo Bizango. It's LLS and pretty bombproof but not very peddly.

Wanting more time and distance outside i bought a gravel bike a few years ago in Nukeproof Digger form and have loved it but...my interest is time outside on natural bridleways, fields, singletrack, canals etc in Hertfordshire, Chilterns etc and it can be brutal with no squish especially in summer when the ground is baked into corrugations.

So...something light and comfortable with short travel full squish is what I'm looking for and a carbon XC seems to tick the boxes for my wants. I'm not into gnarly gravity stuff, nor bike parks.

Anyway, the BMC seems a great deal at £2,399 at Paul's Cycles.

Anyone got one, ridden one or know anyone who has one?

I think Tom Pidcock had one for a bit and did alright on it.

MrsF has a Fourstroke - picked it up from a friend, and it's a shame its an XS as it's rather short for me. It's about a 2012 so lots of things have changed. That said, it is very light (SLX and XT) and alloy. A new carbon one should be fast XC.

Did you get one in the end? I am wondering about size, at 180cm I'm in middle of medium and large.

I've had a Four Stroke 2 for about 21 months. It's a great XC bike, wouldn't want to do anything too hard core on it but for what I ride, it's been great (It's not had much use as I mainly ride on the road here in SW France, as there's no traffic, or potholes) Lots of trails and stuff in Norway and Finland last Spring, and as OP said....I don't do bike parks or gnarly stuff either so it is perfect for my use.

Hi, when i finally went in to get one, the Two models had all been sold. I ended up getting the slightly lower spec Three. It's still way more of a bike than I need.

I bought the large and I'm 6 feet tall. It fits fine. It's a beautiful thing. I haven't used it in anger yet: it's too sloppy. The hardtail and gravel are still in rotation until things dry up.
