if you have had one has it made your immune system shoite??

Nope - actually, if anything it's made it better. Had two units last March following surgery but haven't had a cold since, even though everyone else has had at least 3 (her indoors has had 6+ in that time as she works in a school). Also haven't had any stomach upsets since either.

Sounds like the donor had something wrong with his immune system.......

I'm sure i've heard something about it before but i'm sure it's nothing.

...and the moral of the story is if you need medical advice ask a doctor.

I had one 20 years ago when i was a baby, was 12 weeks premature too. My immune system is fine 🙂

Although it does stop you giving blood... 🙄

Increases your red cells ( Hb) therefore giving you more energy back if you have been anaemic you will have felt fatigued.... The white cells collectively are involved in the immune system and a transfusion should not directly affect this...

Had 4 units a few years ago, made me feel really fit, and strong, but was seriously anaemic 5.2hg.

Being woken up every 15 minutes all through the night was a pain to get temperature and bp checked but worth it .
