I have tried a cheap bontrager one but still i am getting interference which is stopping the stiffness from adjusting correctly. Have tried Conti GP4000 but then read that i doesnt work, then the a cheapy bontrager one that came on my bike. =Tonight i plan a YAW Nitro, a ribble cheap tire with a hard centre line.
Anyone had this issue and resolved it?
Could you not just earth the bike frame to the trainer if thats an issue? Surely it earths through the axle clamps?
Have you actually tried a turbo tyre?
Run a vittoria turbo tyre on mine and its not a problem, grips very good only slight slippage sprinting too far forwards. If youre trying to run road tyres it doesnt really work. Run higher psi too, 120 in mine as opposed to 90ish on the road.
No idea if static is actually an issue - dont expect the world from it though regards the stiffness if youre referring to the resistance, its a bit hit and miss and it is slow to react to different power outputs.
I have a couple of lightly used Vittoria Zafiro Pro trainer tyres if you want one? £19 brand new, so £8.50 plus postage
now using a wheel off trainer so don’t need them any more
What makes you think there is a static build up op?
