Why would Bird make a fuss over the launch of GX eagle? Can understand first look articles on STW/BikeRadar/PinkBike but surely Bird wouldn't be any more excited to stock it than say Cotic, CRC or Wiggle or most of the shops that'll be selling it?

Major news: Somebody else has released a new drive train that we all knew was coming anyway that we can sell you.
So much for my hopes of an Aeris 29er stablemate.............
