What do you think of that new Bionicon Alva? Looks good on paper, 160mm of travel but is supposed to climb well. Is that better than a 140mm all-round bike like the Five? Or am I better of sticking with my Five?

Bionicons are VERY different in many ways... they take a chunk of getting used to.
They're heavy compared my 29er HT... but then again, so are most FSers.

I've not ridden a 5 to compare though sorry, however the bionicon geometry is rather cool.

eurgh! they look rubbish, are expensive and heavy and not very robust (my friend who works for a bike shop went out on a test ride with teh distributor and snapped the own brand forks, he only weighs 11 stone)
also i dont see the point in it, you are buying a jack of all trades and master of none bike, just get some talas forks, they do teh same thing but woudl actually work.
rant over.
