Just mulling over some ideas for our next biking trip with my girlfriend and we would quite like to visit TN/NC/VA (areas like Knoxville, Ashville, Roanoke, etc) and include some tourist time - Blue Ridge Parkway, maybe Nashville.
Anybody got experience or recommendations of what might be the best time of year for biking over these parts?
We would be looking at a 3 week trip.

We went last year in May and it was perfect biking weather - dry but not to warm. My son and I only did one ride but I would have liked to have done more if we had time.
Would recommend staying at DuPont Yurts - its a short journey to Pisgah forest and a really nice place to stay if you are planning on being down that way.
