Any good? They are doing a deal for the book plus GPS for £40 (book £15, GPS £25) - anyone got experience of the GPS?

Book was published in 2005 - anyone know if they are planning a replacement soon?

Cheers

I have the book somewhere, to be honest it's not great, the routes are hand drawn with no maps and the instructions are lengthy.

I like my guide books to have the routes overlayed on an OS style map and that's definately a big issue here.

Besides, I've been twice (with the book) and not used it once, it's so easy to find trails there.

Perhaps you'll have more luck with the GPS.

It's a bit rubbish TBH, hand drawn maps, not great directions. TBH as above has suggested, the trails are dead easy to find

Thanks for the feedback - was looking to get it as I've never been before but if the routes are as easy to find as you guys say then maybe I might just wait until I get there.

Are there freebie trail maps available in Morzine (like they are in the winter for ski/boarding)?

Cheers

Aye. There's a nice little one available from the tourist office in the centre of town. the trails are all well way-marked.

If it's anything like the Wales ones presumably it will be half written in Spanish, full of ads, the maps will be crap, which all combined makes it look like you've got the thing upside down, and it will fall apart because it's bound using baby snot.
