[Closed] Bike sizing for a very tall young man

My 17 year old son, who stands at 6'3" and seems to be still growing (quite tall and thin), wants to buy a bike for himself to commute to college, and then to take on with him to university.

In spite of the interests of the rest of the family, he has never had a huge interest in cycling himself, but he seems to have fallen in love with the whole vintage-looking s/s road bike scene.

I certainly don't mind, and think that if he gets one, he will finally fall in love.

That said, he is looking at a refurbished one on ebay which has a 60cm frame. I am uncertain, though, as even though I would think that the frame would fit him fine, it could also be too big and hence discouraging.

Advice? Being ebay, he sort of has to decide without riding it, so comments on sizing from you lot could be very helpful.

6'1.5" here on a 58 cm classic road frame here. I think he would be OK on a 60 cm

Itll be grand , could even probably go bigger if a traditional frame , also depends on his proportions

I'm 6'4" and ride a 60cm modern frame, a old style frame in the same size will be fine. Remember that old road frames generally had big frames and tiny seat posts.
