got 3 hours to kill in halifax tomorrow
any good top level bike shops to visitn(road or MTB) - could prob dash to leeds and back in that time too
any suggestions ?

Blazing Saddles, Hebden Bridge is closer than Leeds. Lots of nice shops for other stuff too.

PedalSport up on King Cross is ok for browsing. Top service too if you need it.
Cycle Gear near the station is an Aladdins Cave and have some decent, cheap stuff in but its not somewhere you'd want to wander around in for a browse (well, you could but it'd take you about 10 seconds).
I wouldn't bother with either though. I'd have a wander around town, have a coffee, drop into Smiths for a magazine to have a browse through. Could have a walk? Up to Beacon Hill and back would be a nice couple of hours.
