Hi

I've been spending some time with my Girlfriend's family in Pucklechurch, east of Bristol. I've tried all the bridleways locally and it's all pretty dull. We don't have a car so we're riding from the house, does anyone know any good riding nearby?

Hey, moved back over to the UK in December, then been moving about a bit, helping Alan out a few weeks, doing visa applications for NZ in London, seeing my family. How are you?

Yeah, that's ideal, we can do the north side of Barrrth.. I'll check them out next time!

Monday we'll be submitting our visa applications, if it all goes to plan. I'll let you know next time we're out west?

Some bridleways around Pucklechurch but not much to write home about

awh's link1 is cheeky

link2 is not too far and worth a go

Both have alternative routes which are clear on an OS map.

Yeah, cheeky riding, is it ok? Midweek probably as I'm jobless. it is a bit depressing to get the os map out, mentally eliminate all the footpaths, that's 80% of the tracks about then what's left is mainly the boggy end of a field churned up by horses with a gate every couple of hundred metres... joy.

awh's link1 is cheeky

Yes there are lots of trails round here that were initially wrongly classified ๐Ÿ™‚
Amazingly the bridleway that used to change into a footpath halfway down the hill into Monkton Combe is now all bridleway! There is hope!

TooTall lives close by (Emmersons Green) and will have some ideas too. If you can get into Bath on a Weds night we might be able to get you a lift home..

As mentioned, Lansdown good, long loops here that could be shortened (some cheeky content but never had any issues on it).

This one crosses the A46 and the old Charmydown Airfield (private land but the landowner allows us access, just be nice!)

Not exactly radness, but loops that are from your door - as the flaxen-haired one they call Analogue Andy said, I'm down the road from you:

Drop down to Mangotsfield Station (on the Bath / Bristol cycle path) and explore the hill above there. The kids have made loads of tracks and jumps around there. Unfortunately, everything i filthy claggy wet and won't be any different for a while.
