Do I need a separate pump for when I’m out on the bike, another to adjust my shock and another to inflate tubeless tyres? Is there a mini pump that does tubeless tyres when you’re out and about or is it only a CO2 canister that can re-inflate a tubeless tyre? Sorry for the newb questions.

You should be ok tubeless unless you burp it off the rim! Shock pump for in back of car once you've go it dialled.

@konanige Okay, thanks. So I’m right thinking that you really need 3 separate pumps then?

Yes, at least 3 ! And a CO2 inflator, but OneUp have a mini pump which has a built in inflator and you can store a CO2 cartridge inside it.

I’ve never got on with co2 cartridges. Used them on the road bike the odd time but prefer a pump on the mtb. I’ve a mini pump that comes with me on the bike, a track pump with large volume chamber to seat tubeless at home, and a shock pump. The track pump gets used most of the three. Can’t remember the last puncture I had on a ride. Even if you burp a tubeless tyre they usually seal again and just reinflate with mini pump. If the bead comes off and doesn’t reseal I’d be putting a tube in.
