Going on a family holiday with the outlaws for the first week of Easter. Spending a couple of days with my BIL is enough to drive me mad so I'm thinking of taking my gravel bike and escaping mid week for a day or two to restore my sanity. So one or two nights camping with about 50 miles per day are my rough parameters. Please send help!!

I've looked into this as well. The best I could find was sleeping on one of the beaches

As it happens I’ve planned a route from Exeter to Poole a long the coast. Some of it I know, some from an mtb book, all checked on the Strava heat map. Let mute know if you want to know more

I’m planning to ride it in early July

Let me know if you want to know more

Lost lanes west has a couple of routes nearby if you can get hold of a copy. I think it's in the STW shop!

Dorset Gravel Dash route is 100 miles. You could bivvy somewhere in the forest around Wareham or Studland, on the top of an Iron Age Fort, in a B&’b in Swanage or just pass out at the Square & Compass.

The Purbeck Bimble is great, plus you can finish day one at one of the best pubs going. Square and Compass then a pootle down to dancing ledge to camp.
You can also cycle down to Chapman's pool for a dip and a coffee before the square and compass.

Did Bournemouth to Exeter with tents etc. years ago. Nice campsites all along that coast, MOD land a pain if they close roads and paths, fog meant didn't see much of the Jurassic coast. Superb fun.

If this doesn't work I can make gpx files

As above be aware of MOD closures. My route has one very short section of foot path, Looks like a lane with plenty of bike traffic. I'm planning on short days so I can go for a swim each day. Pluw although distance are short there is still 1000m climbing per day

Here are some routes from the Ridgeway Riders site. I can recommend Camber Cycle Works if you run into trouble, bike-wise, when you’re there.

The Perbeck Bimble is great. I did it last year and am tempted to do it again.
