All packed for 2 weeks in Scotland and just discovered a cracked suspension rocker on my Turner! Damn!!!!

Does anyone know of a cycle hire shop on Skye so that I can rescue my holiday?

Many thanks
Andy

I was up there 2 years ago and it was very limited - only found one hire place and they only had hybrids! Might be better to look for somewhere on the way up on the 'mainland'.

We had the same problem when we were there in May and a friend managed to lose one of the suspension bolts out the back of his Reign. The bike shop in Portree had a few very basic hardtails but I think your best bet will be to try and find somewhere on the way up; Fort William perhaps?

Plenty of options on your way up.
Bothy bikes in Aviemore and
escape route in Pitlochry are two.

Could you not hire something local to you?

i'm in skye next week on a riding holiday and the company i'm going with hire bikes, you could give them a call and see what the score is. i think theyre based in edinburgher but were staying in portree so if you ask niceley they may bring you one to play with. i think they have reigns.
