Anyone know where I can hire a decent bike near Gisburn? I'll be there end of November and will be without my trusty steed as I don't trust Jet2 baggage handlers not to wreck it....

nearest towns of any size are Skipton or Clitheroe...
Bike shops in Skipton are shocking, waste of time. 10 miles down the road are Aire Valley in Keighley, and a further 10 miles or so from there are Terrain in Saltaire. Don't know about Clitheroe but not heard of anything over that neck of the woods. Nearest will be ATR Cycles in Whalley, ask for Richard although I don't think he's really 'geared' up for hiring bikes - pardon the pun!
Might be easier offering to "hire" a spare bike from a local who could show you the way round in exchange for lunch in the pub!
