Are there any non-bike friendly cafes?

I could add loads to that. I have no cycling mates, but my encyclopaedic knowledge of cafes means some folk let me come on rides with them....

"scotroutes - Member
Are there any non-bike friendly cafes?"

I used to call in at the Cannon Hall Farm cafe near Barnsley on a once, sometimes twice a week basis for breakfast until one day the lady behind the counter asked something like "how's it going" and I said "fine until someone just tried to run me off the road on the narrow bridge" - she then lauched into an invective about how she used to live in London and all cyclists were arrogant law breaking, child strangling, puppy drowners etc etc

Pleased to know that even when I'm in lycra and wearing a cycling top and carrying a helmet I don't look like a proper cyclist - never went back.

define bike friendly - not a problem with mild SPDs clicking on the floor, through to bike stands, happy with muddy MTBers turning up..

Bike friendly pubs, now that's great!

This place is great if you're in the Bath/Bristol area. Great cake, bacon sarnies and coffee.

there's one in banburgh who told us bikes weren't welcome in their garden seating area, when asked where we could put them she said "there's a cafe up the road"
