Guessing today was the first time most people have been on them, so how are they?

Hoping to head down there Monday night

Well I for one had lots of fun on them!
Super bermy and twisty- its like a 1km pump track! ๐Ÿ™‚
Good job to 1sw, Brisol Council, Architrail and DMS. They will be fantastic when patched up slightly and allowed to bed in over winter and the rest built.
Bl**dy good XC course all round btw and another fine Bikest ๐Ÿ™‚

Hoping to head down there Monday night

After a weekend of being hammered and the whole day of rain forecast for today, they might not be all that by Monday night.

pretty sure the new sections are being closed after today's races. Not heard about any red sections, but new stuff is planned in LW too. Not sure when the official opening is for AC, anyone?

As I recall the opening date is July, the upper quarry trail is brilliant fun, the lower is a bit meh.

The lower bit was always a bit meh though tbh. I was quite glad of the change by the 10th lap or so.

The lower trail has never been anything other then meh, unless done the wrong way of course.

There is a completely new section of trail being built linking the gravel track with the rougher, rocky trail lower down near the deer fence.

I never liked lower quarry particularly going up, though it was superb coming down (in the dry..). Now it's an easy spin going up, and I'd imagine a bit dull going down.

I'm missing upper quarry's roots and rocks already, but the new trail is a lot of fun, I just need to learn how to ride berms properly.

The Quarry Trails are almost certainly going to be closed again for some patching up following this weekend, and the new downhill in New Barn Wood isn't open yet. So no new trails quite yet...

The fence line trail was ace. You could pump it almost from start to finish just picking up more and more speed... (until you ran into someone who couldn't anyway... ;-D )

Yes, really impressed. I miss Lower Quarry (as that's where I could make up time/places), but hats off, pretty darn good....

It's easy to forget just horrible the trails are in winter....hopefully the new trails will put and end to that.

Can't wait to ride them, as unlike some, i'm actually waiting until it's offically open. I heard some critising the new lower quarry trail, despite the fact they had ridden it backwards....the way it's NOT designed to be ridden!!!
