Just a thought but why aren't the major events held in September when the weather is consistently good ? Is there a specific reason why they have to be in the summer month with traditionally iffy weather ?

Ridden 6 Clic 24s (Late May) 2 have been muddy / rainy
Ridden 6 Bristol 12s (early to mid-June) 1 has been rainy / muddy.
Balance in favour of fine weather.

Depends on whereabouts in the country you are - aznyway this is Britain - no climate just weather
