No, this is not another shameless plug for the event. This is reporting the effect of running the event. Straight from Louis ' The good Guy' Bonney who first let me use their facilities:

Dear All,
Good news for Avon Tyrrell, we found out this week we have secured a big grant towards building a pump & gravity track in the wiggly woods as well as some new bikes, kit and money for training coaches to British Cycling level 1 and 2. Funding coming from CTC Bike Club (main amount), Sport England and Hampshire CC, New Forest NPA and of course BBB. £36K all together. Should start on all before the end of March.

Can you spread the word and say a great thanks to all those involved in the BBB as the money raised from last years event is going directly into this project and it was one of the main factors that helped lever the extra funds we needed from elsewhere

Thanks for the thanks but remember there were other people, included the dreaded ElfinSatfey, who were involved.

All I did was think of the idea and make it happen.

It's the 20th and 21st of August, for the events, with people milling around from the Friday night onwards, at which time the beer tent will be open 🙂
