Theyre doing it now! In France! See what bez said below. Then give them money! Now!

Oh boy, it's not long now - three and a bit weeks to go.

We got to Paris last year, and this year we turn right and head for the coast, aiming to come across Brest - for want of a less tragic line.

Gavin and I (aided and abetted by Tim and Donna in a Bongo full of coffee and chocolate Hob Nobs) will, on 20-21 July, be making some sort of beast with two backs and four wheels as we try to tow each other through the French countryside - and through the night - for the obscene distance of 560km. And WE'RE DOING IT TO EMBARRASS YOU INTO GIVING CASH BECAUSE YOU IS NOT TEH STUPIDS AS US.

Obviously, we don't want your cash (well - strictly speaking I do, but apparently that's "immoral"), we want you to give it to people who do want your cash, and that people who do want your cash is the Sport Relief people who want your cash, because they want your cash for trying to sort out the rather important matters of poverty and social deprivation in this country and abroad - whereas we would just spend it on whatever the French equivalent of the Nelson Square is (possibly, given the nature of the task at hand, the Paris-Brest - I think we're obliged to partake of at least one, although by the look of them I suspect any more than that would rapidly become a bit vomity).

Seriously, I'm not even sure we're going to make it, especially if we score a bum deal with the weather. But even if we don't, we'll try until we're properly and emphatically ****ed, so that's got to be worth a few quid.

And of course, spread the word.

We made it (two weeks ago - only just got back from hols). It all went remarkably well - we managed it in 37 hours (25 in the saddle) and with the formidable assistance of Tim and Donna in our support Bongo.

Thankyou to those of you (I notice at least one or two) who donated as a result of the post on here. There is still ample oppurtunity to donate to this very worthy cause ๐Ÿ™‚
