Hello,
Planning a trip to the Betws-y-Coed area to sample some of the Welsh trail centres and also maybe Snowdon.
Anyone know of any good bunkhouses / camping barns in the area?
Looking for something basic and cheap to sleep I guess 8-10 people, preferably with cooking facilities and available for sole use.
I've found a few searching google, but you never really know what they're like till you get there!
Any leads gratefully recieved

Location is great to cover Penmachno (2 mins), CYB (25 mins), Gwydr (15mins) and Snowdon (30 mins). Only thing to watch is that the minor road to Ffestiniog for CYB crosses high moor and will be impassable in snow/heavy ice.
Eagles is good. Doesn't do food though but BYC is five mins away in car.
Try the [url= http://www.glanaberhotel.co.uk/ ]Glan Aber Hotel[/url] which is actually in Betws-y-Coed.
It's a hotel/bar/restaurant, but they also have a camping barn attached.
Prices were quite reasonable last time I looked.
I wouldnt recommend the Glan Aber bunkhouse - ok its cheap, i know its a bunkhouse - but the rooms are tiny, walls paper thin, bathroom/shower questionable and a bit grubby when i stayed there. Hotel seems nice enough though.
