cheers
Rich
balanced diet, no alcohol, and adequate sleep
no magic to this surly?
Eat.
Hth
just thought there might be some tips ? I think I know the basics ๐
Are you eating enough during and post rides? It could be a lack of glycogen, and / or adaquate rest.
Hydration makes a huge difference too, pee should be clear and all that!
I can't ride if my tank's low. Have to time my meals or I blow up even on an 8 mile commute.
So my tip is; eat at the right time.
I know I dont drink enough water ! I do like abit of diet coke , maybe too much ?
I'd been running low on energy myself over the past six months, and whilst there's a bunch of stuff going on, I'm crediting the biggest boost to my energy levels (given I already eat [s]well[/s] reasonably well and so on) to having swapped swapped fruit juices (apple, mostly) and fizzy drinks for water with nuun hydration tabs. I'm a month in now and really feeling good on them.
At the risk of sounding like an ad (I have no connection, etc), all the flavours I've had have been light and tasty!
20% off with code energised
do you pop one of those tablets in a normal ltr of bottled water and do you drink it through out the day ? might give that a go !
Drink beer, eat food, drink non-beer and sleeps (for almost 8 hours some nights!!) about sums up my life outside of work and parenting duties
Pretty much, except it's one tablet to a pint (500ml if we're being sticklers) and it's these pints of water that are all I drink through the day, pretty much.
It works out at around 45p per pint full price (except that all I've bought have been discounted - I was turned on to the stuff by a 50% lfgss discount!), and I'm taking that as reasonable because of a) how good I'm feeling on it (which of course may be due to other stuff too!) and b) the fact that I'm not buying other more expensive (and more sugary / bad for me) drinks.
YMMV (of course), but I'd say it's worth a go, particularly if you're drinking other 'cost' drinks through the day, not just water. An aside to that, it makes even 'bad' (I think it's hard water I struggle with) water go down easily!
Edit after browsing a bit: And it turns out Wiggle have it cheaper still! The four packs and singles with 25% off come in at 31p per pint (by my calcs).
Oh, and don't go for the kola flavour, it's caffeinated.
The lfgss thread that covers it in more detail than strictly speaking necessary...

Drink some beetroot juice
ok cheers markie will give it ago and thanks for your help ๐
Cool - I hope it works for you like (I think) it has for me!
I'd recommend starting with one of these four packs, they're both nice blends of flavours.

Edit: Part of it may be that because of them I'm drinking more - thinking about it I suppose I'm having maybe 4 or 5 pints / bottle fulls per day now ๐ฏ
I'm still gonna call that good based on my increased energy, but might start mixing 'empty' pints of water into my day - though for some reason I'm slower to get round to drinking them, so...
Start the day with a big plate of porridge and plenty milk. Don't sugar or salt it.
Don't impoverish yourself buying magic mixtures.
I used to get tired by Friday commuting every day, dont anymore.
Lost a couple of stone by cutting out sugar and eating a lot of greens. Sometimes can't remember Friday commutes if you get me, but never feel tired, no need for that supplement stuff.
Edit re above- its not the nunns but may well be the absence of other crap that's making you feel better, sometimes less is more.
