I'm off to Betws y Coed (?sp) next week are any trails particularly good or bad if it's wet? We'll be in Cumbria at the weekend & it looks a little moist there. Not really interested in jumpy stuff - more mincecore-light (red trails OK).

The Marin trail isn't very good, but Penmachno is really nice. There's some fluff, but it's mostly good.

I like the Marin 🙂
Also don't discount some of the natural trails in the area which the locals ride - seek and you will find!!

The Bikefax Snowdonia guide book is your best mate for this area - not had a bad route from it yet. Bit pricey (£17.00 approx) but well worth it.

'Telegraph Valley' route is fine in all weathers, as is the Dinorwic Slate Quarry (but not sure if it's open again yet).

Avoid the 'Elins Revenge' route if it's particularly wet - rode it at new year and nearly drowned on the top bit.

Penmachno is fine in the wet - even my gf managed it. 😛
