Off to Swaledale over the weekend for a ride and we're starting in Reeth. I'm planning a route to include the descent from Fell End Moor down to Storthwaite Hall. Are there any other must do bits we shold include?
Cheers all.
You could pop in to the Dales Bike Centre, just down the road in Fremington. They'll have some maps in the shop of some local routes.
And if you like climbs, there's Fremington Edge which just seems to go up for ever.

Try starting from Low Row and take the BWs on the south side of the Swale as a warm up. Then Fremington Edge, across the moor and down through the old quarry to Storthwaite Hall. Then Langthwaite to Raw and Fore Gill Gate. Head over Surrender Ground, down to Flincher Gill. Turn right and climb to the first BW on the left at Old Gang Mine. South to Gunnerside.
Lots of old lead mining works. Abandoned decades ago yet still not much growing.
Route passes by the bike centre so you could start from there as well.
