Planning a trip to Kielder in the motorhome, which would be the better campsite to stay at, Kielder Water or Kielder camping and caravan site. The camping and caravan site is closer but the Kielder Water site looks a nicer spot. I will be riding from the van rather than driving to the trail head.

One at the trail head is fine, take a tennis raquet for the midges though
Pub is Ok serves decent beer and bit plates of food
