Got a weeks holiday still to take before the end of the year and I was wanting to get a bit of mountain biking in before the years out. I'd thought about going with freeride morrocco but there last trip is start of November, which is too soon unfortunately . Anyone think of any other locations for a bit of winter sun mountain biking?

Based right on the beach with plenty of Winter sun to enjoy.
Stunning singletrack rides with plenty of bus uplift during the day & fun après-bike on the coast at night.
Just 510 Euros for a packed week!

The way the weather is just now, a week in the Lakes would be fantastic!.

Looked at the freeride madeira last night. . Looks really good. Not sure whether it might be a bit too gnar for me! I'm not into mega steep rocky sketchy stuff..

San Sebastian will probably be very wet in winter.

Not San Sebastián over winter! We will run some mild and sunny trips to the south Pyrenees this winter but it's all full up. The coast is wet over winter, the south Pyrenees is dry and cold over night but warms up quickly when the sun comes up.

Looked into madeira but unfortunately I can't get a direct flight from Scotland.. no one runs any trips in Morocco in Dec. . Thinking Spain somewhere.. where would be best chance of decent weather and good trails..?

Contact Marco at Ciclo Montana, he's a font of knowledge, and also does trips to Morocco. Great guy, and guaranteed you'll be the best rider he's had that ride, and you'll just have missed the Swedish ladies volleyball team....

Lots of cheap flights into Malaga and a number of bike guides. You just need to decide what level/type of riding you are after.

Malaga for riding in a T-shirt or Lakes for all weather riding

Exodus run trips in Morocco over xmas and new year if that a good time for you, the Atlas Descent is one I've done twice, great trip, good hotels, good food, 4x4s to ferry you around, a bit of climbing but not much, some great riding. Just over £1k all in for a week.

Just back from SierraMTB in Fuengirola, lots of trail variety, good accommodation, lots of decent restaurants locally. Fly in to Malaga and a 20 minute transfer and you're there.

I obviously don't lurk about here enough or I would have answered your Tenerife question. Maybe next time.
