Just started pottering about with Photoshop CS5 and whilst there are some good 'youtube' tutorials. Can any of you artistic creative types advise me of the best book or website to help me out. So far just did the old black and white background with a colour Image on top.

Good start with the picture above. Did you use layer masks? (If you didn't use layer masks - these are great for this kind of thing - worth learning)
Yup M_b , I used a layer mask . Now trying to do the Cartoon effects which are pretty tricky. Thanks for the links.
