i.e. for summer evening rides, where one minute you are being dazzled by the low-hanging sun, and the next you are riding down murky wood-lined singletrack.

I have a lot of problems under these conditions! I'm using clear glasses at the mo. Is it that wee-yellow colour the best, or is anything better?

I find yellow works well for me, righ tuntil the sun comes out. Then most things seem white/yellow washed and I can barely see anymore.

reactions?

rose?

I don't think many lens colours will help with rapid changes in light levels, the only thing you can hope to do is not trash your dark vision while in light bits, which would suggest (IIRC) yellow lenses. But they won't help keep the bright bits from making your squint.

I generally use orange lenses most of the time in my adidas evileye glasses. They are great for low light in woods etc (even use them at night) and they have a small amount of tint for when in the sun (I would think a bit more than a yellow lens). Plus the orange tint makes sunsets look even better! When it's a bit more sunny, I've been really impressed with the other adidas lens, I think it's the LST Active Mirror, which great in the sun and supprisingly good in low light as well. I was using those till about 9:30-10:00 at Mayhem, before switching to orange for the rest of the night.

I have to agree with PP here. If you need more than one tint, use clear. Ultimately, the human eye can cope with different conditions.

Clears for me to if varying between sun and dark woods, although have some transition lens on order to give them a try (although apparently the switch from tint to clear is much slower than clear to tint which is the wrong way around to be as useful as I'd hoped)
