[Closed] Best Full Suss for around £1000 - £1250

Recently had my 2007 marin palisades trail stolen off my thule roof rack when i wasn't looking (bast$rds!!!!)

Looking now to upgrade to a full suss, any recommendations
(please spare me the sarcastic comments about not leaving my bike on the rack!!)

Cannondale Prophet would be my vote for a versatile all-rounder. May be a bit burly if you want something strictly "xc"

I have no idea. It would only be £40 to get it resprayed tho. either that or an hour or so with one of these:

Can you get it without the cheesy name that is "BOARDMAN" who probably knows not much about mountain bikes!!!!

well from the reviews it appears that he might not know much about mountain bikes but the people they have designing them do.

Good point, well made.

Now, how much would it cost to get one sent to Oz ready for when I land in August? Spec-tastic that is and just the kinda thing I was looking for.

edit: Actually I think Singapore Airlines do free sports equipment! Huzzah!

Hmmm

My hunch is that Boardman knows plenty about mountain bikes

How about a Speciaized FSR expert. I rode one and thought it very good. My only reservation is if the seat post is right out it pushes you quite a long way back
