[#6579500]

Following on from the best hardtail edits thread, how about the best edits where all you can hear is scrunching gravel, skittering tyres and the like? No thrash metal, no hound dog blues, just bike noises.

Here are two to start off with:

Granted there are more than just bike noises in the second one, but no music at least.

That first one sounds like a skeleton cracking one off in a biscuit tin!

What's the difference between a video and an "edit"? Are edits short form stuff only?

Yes.

"Enduro" is the marketing man's term for "Mountain Biking".

i filmed us riding herts shore at night a few years back and you could hear the ladders creak and the wooden slats sounded like a glockenspiel being played as we rode them.

To my shame (or maybe credit), I have no idea of the supposed difference between 'edit' and 'video', it is just that all the cool kids say 'edit'. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Seems I've been caught out trying to talk 'street' innit. Or is it 'jive'. I really have no idea.

Still, keep the edits/videos coming, that Adam Brayton one is class, he must get through a set of tyres every couple of runs.....

That first one was brilliant, normally get bored 1/2 way through these 'edits' but watched that to the end.

I think this one is worthy of a thread resurrection.

Bike sounds and a little bit of flowery language at the end (it's very short)

Neil Donoghue did one, in Spain I think. It was only about 40 seconds long, but I remember thinking YES, this is how all videos should be. The loud noises made it some much more relatable (and also a reminder of how hard they hit stuff!).

With music, it can lull you into the false perspective that yea, I could definitely do that!

The Kirt Vories section on one of the New World Disorder movies is probably one of the best ones.

Glasgowdan mentions it above. Wetness by costal crew must be one of the best.
