Any suggestions for great places you've stayed in the Lakes and why?

What about a camping barn? Like camping but without the faffage of a tent or bad weather.

Just up the road from Glenridding so perfect for Helvellyn or high street on the other side. 2 bars and a restaurant on site.

I have leaflet next to me for Lakeland camping barns, as has been mentioned above. Looks really good

I keep going back to borrowdale yh. Awesome riding all around and a nice chilled vibe.

Stayed at the Catbells one about 18 years ago, doesn't look like it's changed.

And a anyway if bivvy is so good why did you splurge the cash on the new T5?

Yes Yhas are in great places and offer most of what you need. I think Helvellyn or Borrowdale are the best options.
Cheers
