Before I make the trip up there, does anyone know if the snow/ice has gone and the trails are rideable?

Ta!

While we are on the subject where is there a cafe nearby open on a Sunday? Was there recently on a freezing February Sunday and we were reduced to getting pies from the Coop and eating them in the car.

Nice and dry up here just now. The coffee bothy in Golspie is only open on a Sunday during the summer. The Nisa convenience store on the left as you leave the village heading south does coffees and bacon rolls, hot pies etc. the Trawler chippy is open 7 days a week from lunchtime too and is really good, it has the cafe next door too, so you can sit down with your fish n chips ๐Ÿ™‚

If you drive north towards Thurso from Dover, on the main road, The Trawler is the first chip shop you will drive past. True story.
