I met STW poster hopefiendboy earlier and he very helpfully daignosing the play in the back of my '04 Enduro as coming from the Horst link bearings/bushings that are on the chainstays.

So now that I know these need replaced I might as well get the whole lot done and also perhaps get the 6" travel BETD link I have for it fitted. So who in Edinburgh would you recommend for that sort of work and roughly what's it likely to cost?

I'd get down to The Bike Chain on Rodney St I'm sure they'll sort you out.

Bike works seconded for speed of work. Not sure of cost but I don't remember it being out of the ordinary when i got my bearings replaced a few months back. Open till 8 so convenient for after work jobs.

Bikeworks wasn't the answer. Called them up to ask if they could do the work and they said they could, took the bike in and left it with them but turns out they couldn't as they don't have the tools needed to either remove or replace the bearings.

Suspect I'll have to take it to EBC after all.
