Mercesdes F1 got a mention for team of the year, but Lewis Hamilton was almost champion and not short listed? Did I blink? But no run down of the season? Is this the BBC taking the hump and not covering F1? Even though almost all F1 cars are built in the UK and there were two British world champions racing last year. Surely it deserved some coverage?

He's a 3 time world champion. Would be a bit odd in an Olympic year to nominate him when he didn't win.
Be like saying why isn't Wiggins nominated this year?

F1 gets plenty of coverage, missing out on a [i]"people we've heard of" [/i] Probably won't crush Hamiltons gargantuan ego...
