If you wait till the end of this video, where the driver's sitting at a red light on the roundabout by the IMAX at Waterloo - you'll see him talking to the journalist.

The lights change and he pulls off, still talking, with just a quick glance forward.

Given this whole film is about the danger of HGVs, this strikes me as rather scary...

I see him staring at his n/s mirror for around 5 seconds getting ready to pull away goes to check the o/s mirror and it cuts. He also checking both with a quick glances whilst waiting.

I didn't see anything like that, sorry.

I saw him checking his mirrors and then the clip cut before he moved.

I haven't seen the clip so can't comment in this specific case.

However, how often do you have a talk to camera piece doen while driving a car, It could be Time Team, or Top Gear, doesn't matter what the subject matter is but you have the driver looking at the camera whilst driving!!!!

Never like seeing pieces to camera by journalists driving - I've complained about a couple of awful ones in the in the past where the guy hardly had his eyes on the road at all. Haven't seen any for a while.

Don't see any problem with the OP's clip specifically. He's looking at his offside mirrors, not the camera. But I would say that at a moment when the driver needs maximum concentration, distracting him with an interview isn't great practice. It's far more distracting than just chatting with a passenger.
